You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown DVD Contest
You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown is an animated feature based on the musical, also called You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown. The animated depiction aired on CBS prime-time in 1985. One of the things that makes this cartoon special is that it marks the first animated depiction of Snoopy with comprehensible dialogue. Like the play, the cartoon features music and lyrics by Clark Gesner, including Gesner's song "Happiness". The clever story touches on everything from the batter-up of baseball to pitter-pat Valentine heartbeats to the "good grief!" of homework to a beagle without equal. Special Features: Enjoy the all-new featurette Animating a Charlie Brown Musical, in addition to remastered video and audio. To learn more about this and other Charlie Brown movies, visit Warner Bros. ![]() To Enter the Contest: Are you a good man or woman? In a reply to this thread, share the story of a good deed that you've done in your life. C'mon, don't be modest. It can be as simple as a donation or helping a friend. If you can't think of anything, well, then, now might be a good time to do something nice for someone, so you can post about it here . As always, there is no length requirement for your post.Good Luck. Last edited by klance1 : 03-29-2010 at 08:56 AM. |

My friend hit a deer. Not only did I go pick her up from her wrecked car with a fresh set of clothes (since hers were covered in glass), I loaned her the money to pay for most of the damage. Still waiting for that money...

For the last 2 years, I have single-handedly done the jobs of about 3 people in order to maintain a good quality of being for the students of our school when it comes to school matters. Without me doing this stuff, we would currently have inproper education according to the law, uncomfortable school facilities, we would never have any school photography sessions and the teachers would be resorting to outrageous breakings of the student's privacy to prevent smoking of all things. Thankfully I stuck around long enough until we got a student council together a few days ago, now I can stop being in four places at once.

One of the good things I have done is the Annual Arthritis Walk in my city. I'll be doing this again in May, so this will be the 3rd year I have done this. I raise money before the walk and then do the walk. It's so refreshing doing this especially hearing people who suffer from Arthritis and how the Arthritis Foundation has helped them. I love doing other philanthropic events like helping at the animal shelter, veteran's home, highway cleanups, donating blood.

I currently work as a hairstylist and i have donated numerous haircuts and styles and spa days to the mentally disabled people. Last year i volunteered for 20 kids that took me almost 8 hours and did updos and makeup for the prom so they could go and fit in and feel why prom is such an amazing experience.

As a musician i like to do loads of concerts for charity and when i hear about one i always see if i can join in and help.
I've done concerts for barnardos, a charity for young musicians, for a little girl who goes to dance school and can't afford the fees to name a few. I also help lots in the local community. When i am at home i help on a monday evening (used to be a saturday morning, never good with a hangover!) i help the local young string group. Most of them have been playing for little under a year so it doesn't sound amazing but they all love playing together and seeing each other every week! I help with the local orchestra when they need players. I do do other things apart from music but they are the things that i enjoy the most, because i'm helping the community and helping the kids see that they can get better at playing an instrument and knowing that i help them to improve and that they learn things from me. |

My good deed was years ago. I was in the john at a department store in Kansas. I was around 16. While in there, there was some kid and his dad in one of the stalls. When I left, a lady asked me if I had seen her son. I said he was in there with his dad. She screamed. I ran in there and kicked open the stall and then started to kick him. I had to go to court and testify. That was my good deed.

Last year, my sister-in-law became addicted to meth. She is a single mother with four kids. She had them sleeping in the car with her and not attending school. It was hard for us, but I pursuaded my wife to call DCFS. Her kids were taken away. Two of them with my in laws. Two of them with me and my wife. We had no children before, and I am in school part time and working full time. It is a struggle, but I know it is best for my sister-in-law. We got her in a rehab program, and she has agreed to let us adopt her kids because she knows it will be a better situation for them. I love her dearly and am glad that I could help her get her act together. Now, the kids are safe, and she is getting the help she needs

There is a homeless gentleman down the street from work that sleeps under a bridge. A co worker and I go down and talk to him and bring him food every couple of days. He's down on his luck and doesn't like handouts, but after befriending him, he will take the food as long as we sit and talk to him. Makes me feel real good.

My daughter and I have collected stuffed bears for the children of Haiti at church. Want to make the kids smile.
